Wood Destroying Insect Inspection
Think you've got termites? We can help!
Did you know that just termites alone cause more property damage on a yearly basis than the damage caused by fires, floods, and earthquakes combined. Our termite and wood destroying organism inspection provides you with a written report on any visible evidence of damage and infestation caused by wood destroying organisms. This damage is usually caused by subterranean or drywood termites, but it can also sometimes be caused by beetles or fungi.
What do we look for during inspections?
- Evidence of damage caused by termites or wood destroying organisms, such as tunnels, feces, wings, and sagging floors, walls, or ceilings.
- Live termites or other wood destroying organisms.
If you have an infestation, you may want to take some preventative measures after you have treated the problem. Termites, as well as many other wood destroying organisms, look for shelter, food, and moisture that is close to the ground. If you notice that your home foundation, porch, or other wooden part of your home is touching the ground, you can regrade to separate the soil from the wood. You can also avoid mulching around your home, which creates a perfect environment for wood destroying pests to return.
